An apostille is an official certificate issued by the Secretary of State that makes a document valid for use in countries that are members of the Hague Convention.

Getting your documents apostilled or authenticated doesn’t have to be complicated. With our service, you simply upload your document to begin the process. From there, your document will receive either:

• An Apostille — for countries that are members of the Hague Convention
   
• A Legalization Certification — for all other countries
   

Some documents must be notarized before an apostille can be issued. If notarization is required, we can assist with this step either in person or through secure virtual online notarization.

 Our online service allows you to obtain an apostille from digital copies of your original documents. Here’s how it works:

1. You provide a digital copy of your original document (which remains in your possession).
    
2. We prepare and affix a Custodial Certificate — a notarized statement certifying that the attached copy is a True and Accurate copy of the original.
    
3. We then obtain the apostille on this notarized custodial certificate, along with the printed copy of your document.
    

This method, often referred to as a True Copy Apostille, is widely accepted in many cases. However, it does have limitations depending on the receiving authority and country of use. We can also perform a True Copy Certification where we notarize your statement and signature stating it is a true copy. This method requires a notary appointment and an apostille. 

Original Document Certification

Much like the True Copy certification an original document can also be certified the procedure is similar to the True Copy Copy certification. This is not a commonly down with documents such as transcripts and diplomas.

An FBI Apostille is a form of authentication issued by the U.S. Department of State that certifies the authenticity of an FBI background check for use in countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention.
